Why median market caps?
Market-data providers can report different circulating supplies and market caps for the same coin. CoinMedian compares available sources and uses a median to reduce the influence of an unusually high or low figure from a single provider.
A median is the middle value after the available values are sorted; with an even number of values, it is the average of the two middle values. It does not guarantee that a number is correct, and source availability can change.
